Not as big as some projects on here, but I'm proud. (pic heavy)
UPDATED WITH FINISHED CONSOLE PICS
My boat is 18 years old and is showing its age. I try to keep things up but I'm the 3rd owner and cannot control what went on before I had it. Over the last few years I've replaced carpet, a broken windshield, livewell/bilge pumps, and the things that just wear out. Then I've added a few things like BluewaterLED's in all compartments, BluewaterLED's on the front and rear deck, KeelShield, all LED's on trailer, new bunks, Nightfishion lights and some newer electronics than the flasher in the dash. But now I'm into cleaning things up to make them look nice. Things like, old and/or cracked trim pieces, covering my cables/wires/hoses from the transom to the motor, organizing and making the wiring look neat, etc.
Here was my project this last weekend. The previous owner(s) had multiple electronics at the front and at the console. Each time they just drilled new holes for the new graph. Then there was a 1 1/2" hole through the glass at the front and back fro all the cables to come through. I've hated it since I got it. Thankfully, I was able to find the right type of rubber matting in the Swap n' Sell here and have cleaned it up again. There are some before and after pics for ya. I had to make templates and cut it all by hand with a razor. I think for a home job it turned out nice.

bad pic but you can see some of the old holes by the graph.

You can't see the holes under the graph, but they are there.

This is all the epoxy I had to use to fill the holes at the front.

As you can see, I've changed my electronics mounting onto Ram Mounts. Much nicer, cleaner and if I ever change again I don't have to drill!!

Haven't mounted the rear electronics yet, but its going on a Ram Mount too.

and did it on the passenger's side too, just to match.
Update with the Ram Mount and wiring done at the console.

Nice job. What did you use for the rubber matting?

It was a leftover piece that someone sold here on the board. I think you can also get it at Cabelas. But it is the same as what they install from the factory on most boats now.

That looks good. Where did you get the non skid mats? I am wanting to do that exact same thing to a Ranger 488. I have looked and can't find sizes that large. Thanks

I bought it as a leftover piece from a BBC memeber in the Swap n' Sell board. But I was also told that you can get it at Cabelas. They have 18"X30" that you can custom cut. Try the link below...
