Thanks , also have rewired it completely , even went to 4guage wire for the trolling motor supply. Gonna redo the carpet this winter, never was happy how I did the lids on the front deck ,plus want a lighter color silver/gray. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/cold1.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/cold1.gif
Wow !! Nice job http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
I am new at this................ ............. so it amazes me how a thin, really weak thing like a sheet of 0.75-inch plywood in a transom can take a 250 lb motor with 150 HP and Gawd nows how much torque, and then cantilever it out further on a Jackplate to add moment arm forces, and not just snap off. The other boats run what, 250 HP and weigh 400 lbs ??? Think about the engine mounts and cradle in a 100 hp automobile like a Honda or Saturn. Steel to welded steel or whatever. The boat's drivetrain is hanging off a pry bar, held on by plywood and screws. And then you bounce off a wake, think off the force applied. Just thinking out loud.
Anyway, back out to the cold garage to gather the courage to grind, cut and cusss http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif
Thanks for the inspiration http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Mike where did you get the lids for the deck extension??
at Cabelas - one of easch size.
What material did you use in the transom. All I seen was the one pic of a piece of ply sticking out.
used Seacast, Mix and pour , Didn't have time to take pics or get the camera dirty. stuff is very strong, still have some stuck to the concrete below the boat .
Awesome job on the boat, Mike. Looks like a brand new boat to me. Congrats!!... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
