2000 Johnson 175 Need Help Please

Most of the time especially when its warm outside I have to put the boat in neutral and rev it up to about 3000 rpm and hold it there for about ten sec then let it idle back down then put it in gear before it will hit the power band when i floor it to get it on plane. Otherwise it will go to about 1500 rpm and sit there and then start sounding a little ruff a/f several sec. I use sta-bil and the plugs seem to be a little oily but dont know if that would make a diff. Doesnt seem to do it when its cooler outside. It is on an 18 ft boat so it shouldnt be any problem for this motor. Has no other problem idels and runs fine once on plane. No problem once its on plane but extremly irritating haveing to do this sometimes two and three times b/f it will jump up. Any suggestions? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/praying.gif

Check the throttle roller adjustment sticky at the top of the page.

Ill have to look at mine when I get it back. That sounds like the exact same issue I was having. plus mine didnt idle worth crap though too.
