The Livewell and bilge pumps are underneath my fuel tank. When I need to repalce a gasket I need to drain fuel and lift the tank up. I was thinking about switching my fuel tank to dual tanks. Anyone have any experience in this mod?

There are several ways to do it.
1. Most of your older Rangers had two tanks in the rear with a fuel valve. You just switched to what ever tank you wanted. This would be the simplest way to do it.
A) Mount both tanks.
B) You can prolly use your exsisting fill hole for one of the tanks, depending on the shape and what side its on. You will have to drill, and add another fill outlet with hose for the other tank. You will also have to add another vent line and outlet.
C) Run new fuel hose from the tanks to the valve. I would suggest using an inline filter between both tanks and the valve.
D) Run new fuel line from valve output to a fuel/water seperator, then to bulb, then to motor.
E) You can either use your exsisting guage for both tanks, or add another guage. I would suggest using the exsisting one. All you have to do is add a waterproof three way toggle switch. (ON/OFF/ON). This way you can flip the toggle up for the fuel level in the port (or starboard if you perfer) and down for the other. I like this way because the middle is OFF.
If you want to get fancy you can get an electric valve and control it all from the console, but be ready to fork out $$$...
Hope this helps.
