2001 johnson spark plug help
I have a 2001 johnson 150 carbed do the champion plugs really work and run better than the nkg Advance auto where I live has the ngk in stock but has to back order the champions should I just order them and wait or will the ngk be just as good also in the champios what plug do I need I bought this boat used and want to make sure I am running the right plug for it and what gap do I need

The plug chart above was created by the engineers from BRP/OMC, that is why it is called the factory plug chart. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif Advance doesn't usually carry Champion plugs that's why the back order. You can go to Autozone, O'reilleys or Napa and they will have them. You want QL78YC gapped at .030. Stock number 938-1.

QL78YC gapped @ .030 Note 3 states the QL plugs are recommended because of their resistor properties. The NGK's aren't. I ordered mine from Oreillys auto parts and got 'em over night. Usually Autozone can do this also.....

Thanks I live in a very small town so advance is about the only choice we have. I will order them so you I shouldnt go with the nkg's?

I live in Hazard now, And its pretty small no autozone or o reillys just advance and napa
