i have a 225 ho E rud 2003 DI year model. I dont have the serial number at the moment. But was wondering what could cause it and how can it be diagnosed. not having any codes. so is it a ignition coil going bad.. bad plugs wires ect.. give me some details to look for. thanks... noticable difference. Are the coils similar to the 04 HO DI motors if so i wil have parts from it soon., Thanks
the first thing to do is replace and index your sparkplugs, or at least regap them to about .028".
I can do that easy.. checked them about 1.5 months ago... i have the iridium plugs in it now with the upgraded stats... next.

You may need to hook up the software take it out run it and do a cylinder drop test to isolate. Do not rule out a bad plug, you may have put a bad one in.

let me guess...injector.
wouldnt a code be stored with a bad injector... ill double check the plugs. what signs will show a bad plugs hence visually

whats the best was to diagnose this problem... isnt there screens in the injectors nozzels that can be removed and and cleaned also.. wwhat are the odds that its a faulty ignition coil?
Have you checked and cleaned the exhaust pressure sensor? Also a bad prop hub can feel like a miss at high speed!

have your tech do a cylinder drop test.

will a heavy dose of seafoam through the fuel help clean the injectors??
