What is this piece?

Motor: 93 Johnson 200 on a 93 Stratos 201 Pro XL. Prop is a 4 blade Renegade.

The black ring piece sits between the prop and in the exhaust housing. It has 4 sets (8 total) of clips. I need to replace it, but cant figure out what the piece is called or a part number.

blowout ring or weed ring, ya run'em with gades and trophys, that I know of...

I have ran a Renegade for many years and never used it.

it keeps from blow out,some motors and boats doesn't do it maybe not enough power or theys plenty of cup in the prop, I never ran one on my 150 as it didn't blow out on take off, but with the 225ho it wont get up on plane with out one.

Thanks guys. For some reason I couldnt find any info the other day. This helps a bunch.

I should also note that Mark Croxton will add a aluminum one to the prop. I think thats the route im going to go so that it doesnt melt like this one did.
