Hello! I have a quick question. I recently hit a floating log running upstream on the missouri river. It cracked the transom where the motor mounts in 2 places. I was only running 30 (thank goodness, I normally ran 65+) when i made contact. I have my boat insurance thru progressive. I have made a claim and I am meeting him on Thursday at 9am.
What should I expect? I have never made a boat claim before......Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Progressive is one of the companies we represent. They are a great company to work with. They do have a variety of different policies and that will determine how this claim will be handled. One of the reasons I have gotten involved in this site is to educate the members here on all the different kinds of coverage's that are available through a varity of different companies. If the policy is written with the correct coverage's in the beginning, the claim process is usually very easy. We always try to write Agreed value policies with replacement cost on partial losses.
