I surrender...I have searched everywhere for good info. on this river. I have read pages on the google searches and I even paid good $ for a good chart (so I thought) but the chart would be good if I were navigating a ship. I am fishing a tournament on this river next week and will only be able to pre-fish a little the day before. Any pointers would be muuuch appreciated.
Right now the river is full of shad. Try fishing something that mimics them exactly at any ambush points. There is a FLW State Div. Central Qualifier out there this weekend so everybody is pretty tight lipped right now. With the weather gettin cooler the bite should be gettin better for the smallmouth. We've been havin 40 degree temps here at night this week. Try going to wvbass.com that's the FLW State Federation web-site. There may be some info there or maybe someone could help you next week on that site. Or if you wanna give me a call sometime Saturday I'll be home then. I can't promise anything but I'll try and help.
