Blue Marsh

Anyone been fishing at Blue Marsh lately?
Was thinking of going up this week sometime.

I was out last Thursday evening, from about 6:00 till dark.
Was moving son home from PSU on the weekend.

Caught 3 keepers about 2-1/2 to 3 lbs. Had a huge something come up after a buzzbait, a swing and a miss but it was big. Might have been a striper, I was in a cove off the main lake.

Caught them all in the back of the cove in less than 2' of water.

Last Sunday (one before Mother's Day) had 2 in the morning, both in about 6" of water.

Are the bass spawning there yet? Water temp? I have to have my revenge on that lake yet this year. Tourney practice in March -0, actual tourney day in April - 0. Gotta catch something at the darn lake.

I have done alright during the summer but this year was the first time I ever fished the early part of the year.

It's been a little cool the last few days, along with some rain, hope they're still biting!

I was back in the cove where I missed the big something or other.
I hooked him next to the same log - on a jig.

It was a rather large muskie, I had him on for a minute or so, then he turned and took my jig and left me with the line.

Was fun for a bit.
