Change hub so mercury prop will run on evinrude ?
Hi Have a prop from my previous engine which is a mercury prop 15x17 .My question is can i re hub this prop to fit my 200hp evinrude .The prop will go on the shaft at the moment and nut etc fits but does not sit back into gear case .Gap between case and prop approx 1.5inch. Many thanks for any help

I`m having the same problem with a predator prop off a merc. going on a 97 fast strike 150. What hub kit do i need ?

if its a pressed in hub can you not drill out the splines on the back of the prop where it will go down farther on the shaft ?

Done a search on the net using various prop selector programs and I have just ordered Flo-Torq 2 kit 835265Q02 from ebay I think this is correct hub kit for my black max prop will let you know once it arrives and have fitted it.Dont know if I would fancy drilling splines though. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

One inch reamer with drill press,I used to know how much to ream, just measure and ream. I've done it many times.

i believe you can,there was an article back some years ago in bass and walleye mag about this,they had a list printed about how to drill and what thrust washer to use with them,don't know if you could still find the article or not..

It not pressed in hub just one of those plastic/nylon or whatever they might use jobs.Not got drill stand etc so prob best to get new hub thanks for info though if i ever got pressed in hub will give it a go Thanks .
