Throttle roller timing arm adjustment

i have a 1997 johnson 150 ocean runner. I looked at the Throttle roller timing arm and mine is not touching the plate. It looks like the one that is in the incorrect position as shown on the pictures in the post. The engine is running fine. Do I need to loosen the screw and make it touch the plate as described on the post as a preventitive measure or am I ok to leave it as is?
