Paul and I went to Shell Knob on Friday.....

Paul and I caught a lot of fish Friday..............but they were almost ALL dinkers. And I
mean dinkers. We caught 30 + fish but probably only 3 or 4 of them were anywhere near keeper size. The rest were 10-13" long. We still had a blast though.

Its hard to believe now how high the water was just a few weeks ago. I took a picture of Paul waiting for me to bring the trailer down. You can see how far the
water is down now. Where I was standing to take the picture was WAY under water
when it was up. Hard to believe.

What are you guys finding them on?

I caught my best fish on a jointed Redfin. We fished the bluff pockets that were shaded and calm. Its a pretty exciting bite. Paul caught all of his on a wacky worm. I caught fish on the Redfin, a spinnerbait, a custom painted crankbait and a little white hammered spoon. Shade, in and around docks was pretty good.

Always a nice fishing post Steve. Where'd the buoy go in the above pic of the cove?

It was just slightly further to the right. I thought the picture would look better without the buoy in it. We love putting in there. We usually have it to ourselves.

I never think that far ahead with photography.
