Table Rock week of Thanksgiving
I'm coming up Monday evening and staying until Sunday. Last year was the first time I took my boat (we come up every Thanksgiving) and caught some good spots in 30' of water under docks. I hope to get out on the water as much as possible, but I will have to fit it in around all the other activities scheduled. I will be putting in at Indian Point. Where should I go and what should I try to catch some more of these Missouri bass?
Thanks in advance!

They are hitting crank baits, spinner baits, and jigs right now in shallow water. By the
time you get here they will probably have moved much deeper. A 3/4 oz white jigging
spoon will be pretty hard to beat. Since you are visiting the deep end of the lake, most
any dock should work.

Cool! Thanks for the help. Leaving town tomorrow afternoon, heading that way.

Well, I wasn't able to get ou ton the water as much as I wanted while I was up there, but did manage to catch my first smallie...and then my 2nd smallie while there.
I started off going to fish a big dock that I caught some good spots on last year. As I pulled up, I noticed signs on it/them that said something about a commercial dock and fishing wasn't allowed around them. Here in Texas, dock owners can't claim the water under or around the docks. Anyway, I was unaware of the law in Missouri, so I didn't fish it and went to my back-up plan. I picked up the wiggle wart and started paralleling the bank in 6-10 ft. of water.
My first fish (a small black bass) actually came on a 3/8 oz blue and white spinnerbait with double willow blades. After that, I was coming around a secondary point and stuck my first smallie (18+ inches). I worked on around the point and caught a keeper black bass. A couple cast later, I caught another small black. I worked back into the little pocket and then back out. There was a ledge that dropped into about 12 ft. on the other side coming out of the pocket. I paralleled the ledge and caught another small mouth, then another spot and then another black all within just a few casts. I was about to have to head in when I made another cast at another secondary point with timber on it and caught my last fish. It was about a 3 1/2 lb. black bass.
Total that day was seven fish in about 4 1/2 hours. 4 largemouth (2 over 15"), two smallmouth and a spot.
