I'm hoping to improve my record significantly!!
I'll be going friday night after work for a while and then saturday and who knows about sunday yet? Its fixin' to get good on the rock!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
I smell a Kings river run.
have any of you guys ever fished the rock on the full moon in March? It seems with the water temp going up it may be worth a try. also what would you throw?
Just got back from cape fair, we trolled for white's. Caught quite a few big sows, it is really gonna get good soon, can't wait for the night bite.
Well....we didn't slay 'em, but we didn't get skunked either. We put it at Big Bay and
fished most of our early season spots. We could not find our usual deep bite anywhere.
So we just started going to the backs of all the main lake pockets and found fish almost
anywhere the water temperature was 50* or more. Main lake on Big Creek was still
just 45*. Over on the bridge side it was 47-48 with the backs of the pockets at 50+.

'89 Stratos.....its an oldie, but a goodie. It runs and fishes great.
How far up past Cape Fair did you get? Was thinking about taking the boys for some whites.
Thanks for the info Steve. Appears that big creek ain't ready yet, at least yesterday. I'm sidelined today. Had a devil of a time trying to find correct parts for my trailer brakes. Ended up at Springfield brake. Still didn't find a banjo fitting for the brake line to caliper. I used a rat-tail file on the fitting, I'll see if it works when I bleed it today.

Start at the ramp on the same side as the ramp and troll up the river, stay in 20-30' of water all the way to virgin bluff, also troll over the point on the south side before the bluff, I did not get to go today but my friends are just now leaving, said they are on fire!!!!!!!!!! Better get down there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So when you say start at the ramp, you mean in the cove at the marina? More info on this please!! What where they hitting?
I am talking about the other ramp, the one to the west. Use a shad rap in a shad pattern. They were still biting today but not quite as good as yesterday, it will continue for a while but they will keep moving up the river.
