Going to Lake George for some leisure fishing with some novice fishermen. I would like to put them on some fish, anyone know about the lake. I dont want your secret spots, just some community holes that are good this time of year. I know nothing about the lake so any tips would be helpful

We are going fri-sun. We are a bunch of firefighters, we go every year on a guy's fishing trip with our retired chief. Most of the guys are not serious fisherman, mostly just go to drink and relax.
We are staying at a fish camp just north of lake george, right around the mouth of the river.
