Lochloosa

Any recent reports for Lochloosa? I've never been there and hoping to go next week.

I can't give you a fishing report but, I can tell you that the water level is pretty low. I was there maybe two months ago and we bumped bottom trying to get thru the canal to Orange. ust be careful.

I also went there about a month ago, Caught a couple of small fish on trickworms early, The bream were eating them also. The topwater bite was impossible as the gar were loaded up shallow and killing the bait! Flipped the pads in Little Lochloosa with a lot of bream bites and no bass, Flipped the maidencane for a long time with one bite and it was huge whatever it was and broke me off, Couldn't stop it!
I'm still hearing about some good fish and limits but didn't happen for me that day! Try toads around the pads if you go! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif

I heard from a good bunch of guys that where TX winners on Loch. that had few, but big top water bites!!! Middle of the day over shallow grass, but he wouldn't tell me what bait.
