What a tough tournament, but I knew some people would have a sack, I fished co-angler and had a fish which was good enough for 65th. Only 85 co-anglers had fish out of 200. my nephew was on the fish but I knew he was, he had 14.04 and got 11th. He had a 6.12 big bass and someone beat him with a 6.13 http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif for $1000. Next month should be alot better at DeGray. I plan on fishing the Regional tournament there. We only had 55 entries in the first tournament this year. I got 5th, so there's a very good chance I'll make the top 40. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/praying.gif
I probably won't catch anything. I have a tough time on clear, rocky lakes. I saw the FLW Tour on FSN this morning. They were having a tough time on that lake. I just hope I weigh something in. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
Heading over to Ouachita next month (Mar 11-14). Hope the fishing will have improved between now and then.
I heard there was only 55 in the cowboy this year. That should make it pretty easy to make the Regional. The tournament on Ouchita was won up in the river in very stained water on a gitzit, so there is stained water there you just have to find the sweet spots. I ripped grass all day with my boater, which was a very good pattern when the water temp was 49 on Tuesday. But it dropped to 43-44 and killed most peoples bite. I bumped timber in Cedar Fouch to catch mine, thankfully at 12 my boater asked if I had any suggestions and I told him. I gave my boater a generous anount on gas since he asked my advice and he agreed to go there. had it not been for that I'd pulled a big ol zero. Today is Mr. Bass on Ouchita which is another big tournament series here. That lake is getting hammered hard this weekend!
