I fished Ross Barnett Reservoir in Mississippi the other day while visiting my daughter in Brandon. Haven't fish RB since 1995. Got to fish it with an old friend I haven't seen since I left there 12 years ago. We fished mostly the edges of the lily pads with a Texas-rigged worm. After fishing Bull Shoals Lake the last four years, it took me a bit to remember what lily pads were and how to fish a worm http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif

Fished half a day and caught 4 largemouth bass http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif and one drum http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthdown.gif (on a crankbait).

Hope some of you guys can make it to Bull Shoals lake on 10/27 for the BBC mini-rally http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/USA1.gif

I was just doing a spoof on the "Mary is home" thing http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif

The fellow I was fishing with took two pics of me and the fish but I don't have a copy yet. The fish weren't all that big, maybe two pounds or so. Nothing to write home about but I had a ball fishing totally different waters and structure than we have here on Bull Shoals lake.

You coming to the rally next month on Bull?

Yep, I love fishing the pads. I have a 7.7# largemouth on the wall that I caught in the pads in the spring on RBR while flippin a lizard many years ago in a tournament. Had four other fish that combined for a 20# sack. Won 1st place and also the lunker pool. Made out like a bandit that day http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif
