Re: Pickwick 4/23 (gitthenet21)
well the fishing for my club out of bay springs was bad. we have a small limit and 14 pounds won.
Re: Pickwick 4/23 (gitthenet21)
Poeman I wouldn't be afraid to say we caught 50 fish between 11 1/2 and 14 inches long. We made 3 stops yeaserday and on two stops it was the same story lots of smaller fish stacked up in a small area. I got broke off twice and my coangler had one 5 lb. flathead. One of the guys said they caught Stripes, large mouth and catfish all day long.

I hope you guys appreciate how good you have it in the Huntsville. Ala area!!!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif
I'm in WV and travel down to Guntersville a few times each year. My friend Darrell Newman owns Keller's Tackle on Rt. 431 near Honeycomb Creek. I love it down there!!!! In fact, there is a distinct possibility that I may lose my job in the next year or so and I plan on moving down that way if I can find work!!! I've always wanted to fish Pickwick lake!!!! I guess it's possible to catch a 5lb smallmouth and largemouth on the same day!!! WOW!!! I fished two tournaments on the last two weekends at Summersville Lake here in WV. It took 10-4 amd 9.2 to win with a 6 fish limit!!!! Just to give you an idea of how tough it is here!!! We won big bass yeaterday with a 2lb 8oz smallmouth!!! LOL!!!! Keep posting because I love reading these lake results!!!

Fished a tournament on Good Friday and 16lb 13oz took first place. This is a tournament that we do every year on Good Friday. Big fish for the day was 6lb Largemouth. Fishing was pretty good. Caught a bunch of fish.

Re: Pickwick 4/23 (gitthenet21)
i guess it was because the water was moving good. and it was about 4 foot high in bay springs.
