Top water is off the hook in the AM and the big worm and jig bite is slow but size is great. You will get more bites on the worm but bigger fish deeper on a jig. Greens and dark colors are working best on plastics for me. Pop-r is getting numbers but the wake baits are the bigger bites. Hope that helps good luck and let us know how you do.
I got one bite all day Saturday on a jig but it was 5.88lbs. That made my whole day. My partner had one fish on a 10in worm, wish I could have found the top water bite.

well.. I hope we find some, a couple of the guys went up Sat. to do a little pre fishing and they only had 3 all day... and no size.
Biggest key is main ledges and keep the trolling motor in the water. The big worm bite is great and when you find one there is others there. As the heat gets up slow down. If you are just looking for a bigger bite keep the jig in your hand all day and hit the ledge. the numbers will drop but the size is better. good luck
IM sent to u Gene
when you say main ledges do you mean the edge of the channels? I've been fishing the milfoil on the channel edges and not getting very many. thanks

Fished the G last weekend. Fish a zell pop early and a buzz bait on back side of Pine Island and Xcalibur Zell pop then fish the fisrt ledge from 4 to 8ft with 10' worm and 1/8th weight. fish it slow if sun is out. Had a decent T day. Good luck
