T-Rig/worm rod

I am looking to buy a casting rod for fishing a texas rig (worms/craws/lizards) and wanted to get some input from you guys since I am pretty new to bass fishing. I went to Academy tonight and looked at a few rods since they have their rod riot going on right now. I liked the Falcon original, all star (original and ASR series worm rod), and veritas. They were all right around the same price with the exception of the all star original, it was quite a bit cheaper. My favorite was the Ducket Micro, but that was a little more than I wanted to spend. All rods were 6.5 ft or 7 ft mh. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Of the ones listed I would choose the all star asr. I have one and its a good rod for the money. I use it for pond fishing that are only accesible by mountain bike so I wanted a inexpensive rod but to my suprise its one of my favorite rods.

Agreed. Its a decent rod. I have the jig rod. Now don't get me wrong there are MUCH better rods out there for more expensive. I would look into the Abu Garcia Veritas. A lot of people LOVE those rods and they are quite a bit lighter from the ASR's. All of these rods will catch you fish though.

I liked the feel of both the veritas and the ASR. I think they were both on sale for $70. I will have to go back and look at them again before the sale ends.

Well, I went to Academy today to get an all star ASR and made the mistake of grabbing hold of a Falcon Bucoo Micro. Although it was a little out of my price range, I bought a 6'10" MH Bucoo Micro for $99 with the Rod Riot. Excellent choice on the bucoo much better than the original rods mentioned. The 6'10 H is also a excellent stick if you decide you need a lil more rod.
