what brush for epoxy lures?

I've searched and can't find any info on the type of brushes most folks are using. I just switched from auto clear to Bob Smith 30 min. slow cure and love the stuff.

I'm currently using acid brushes that a plumber would use but I wanted to see what you folks use.

I'm new to epoxy and I'm only able to coat about two baits a batch before it gets a little thick. I was going slow cause it was my first time. I think once I get used to it, I'll be able to hit three before things get a little stiff...is this normal?

I use craft brushes

I like the black 3/8" epoxy brushes. They run about .20 each or about $16 for a box of 144 which is what I buy at a local hobby shop. I use the BSI 30 minute slow cure and also clear two baits at a time and then toss the brush. Soome guys clean their brushes. I've thinned it with 2-3 drops of denatured alcohol. You will get enough time to do a 3rd bait but I am not happy with the results. It goes on thinner but also dries thinner. I use to the those acid brushes from harbor freights but the quality it poor and they vary too much from batch to batch. This is what I've found that works for me today..........but that could all change tomorrow!

You really cant go wrong with these i tried everything before i tried these most i tried the bristles were to hard and left streaks in the epoxy these have soft bristles and allow the epoxy to go on smooth i order mine once a year if that

When you guys dry these baits do you have to use a rotissory(pardon the spelling) to dry them.

After brushing on the epoxy, you have to put them on the lure turner, for the clear to dry evenly. They can be built using a rotisserie motor.

For the gent asking about a Turner, I built mine with a microwave turntable motor+a shaft I built attaching to a 4" PVC drain cap. The cap has 8 evenly spaced alligator clips protruding from the cap on screws, this rotates at 6rpm. Total cost around $10
