Re: 225 etec running cold?? (stevedallas28)
Welcome to the BBC.
I have not seen an E-Tec running cold but it could happen, sounds like BRP has parts on the way to fix it.
Have your tech check to see what the extra oil clock shows, if you dont yet have 10 hours above 2000 RPM's the motor is still using extra oil, once it reaches the 10 hour above 2000 mark the oil consumption will decrease, most of my customers call to ask me why it quit using oil....Kinda scares them. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif

I am positive I have over 10 hours over 2000 RPM. I only use the motor for cruising and have not trolled with it. I wish it would stop using oil cause as of now it is sure sucking it down..... I will ask my tech how many hours the extra oil clock shows. Thanks for the reply

Everyone says that when I ask, in every case this turns out to be incorrect, it takes a lot of run time to get 10 hours above 2000. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif

well I guess you could be right, but I would be surprised. I will check with the tech. Thanks
