I didn't want to hi-jack Mikes thread about painting a jointed swimbait; so I just started another.

I like the rubberband trick between the joints for painting. I don't spray my clears (yet), and would like a good alternative to spraying the clear, when applying a topcoat for jointed swimbaits.

Can the bait be dipped with the rubber bands in the joints?
