2002 175 johnson

The bulb is going dry at higher rpm's. I can run anywhere i want to at 3300 rpms but when i exceed 3500 rpms the motor starts missing from lack of fuel. the bulb is dry. The other day i almost ran the boat out of gas when the problem started. Could something be in the filter causing this or should i be looking forward into buying a new fuel pump? No leaks in the bulb or the fuel line that i could find.
Vents are clear.
A little info on motor. It does not even have 20 hours on it which makes me think it is not the fuel pump.

Anti-siphon valve on top of the fuel tank could be sticking.

A Model number would help better but I'm surprised you aren't setting a check engine alarm! That speed on a carb motor shows a starvation issue, and I'm on the check the anti siphon valve band wagon too, unless you have a manual check valve.
