I have a Paasche H series single action airbrush that I've used for years on different projects. Would this airbrush be OK to start out with? I would be using Createx paint. What kind of clear would ya'll suggest for this paint?

The H series will do fine. As far as clear you'll have to experiment to see what works best for you. Alot of guy's like devcon 2 ton epoxy, other's use flexcoat, automotive clear, dick nites, the list goes on...

Createx paint and devcon 2 ton 30 minute epoxy for the clear. You can go to hobby lobby and get mesh netting for your scales.

Time and patience is the key !
If you mess up, try not to get to frustrated and paint as much as you can because the more you paint the better you will get . Post pics of the baits you paint and you can get tips from all the great painters on here.
So if a guy was starting from scratch what type of airbrush would you recommend? I just got back from Hobby Lobby and they have several guns but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Do I need a gravity feed? Will my little air compressor from Lowes I use for my small nail gun work with an airbrush? Sorry for all the questions...but I'm as green as they get fellas!
i would personally go with a gravity feed gun your compessor should be fine just get an air pressure regulator with a water trap and you will be set

Easier to clean, easier to do fine work using low air pressure
