I tried to shoot it but, it looked like cobwebs coming out of the gun http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif I just think the dip method is the most simple.......plus it lets the clear drain straight off the end of the bait.
i agree the dipping method seems easier i can shoot the stuff using acetone to thin it and it shoots ok its just a headache it seems thining it surely their has to be a better process i got a small bottle and i cant get the whole bait at one time but i would like to be able to spray
thanks for the info http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Hey Shaggy,
If you don't mind my asking, where did you buy the Dick Nite's clear. I've been wanting to try some myself.
Thanks,
What are you spraying it with? I used to spray it all the time with no problem. Only thing I hate is cleaing the gun after using it. I used to use an old airbrush but switched to a mini touch up gun. (Harbor Freight). The trick is to thin with laquer thinner before you spray. Doesn't take much, just pour a little DN in a cup, then add drop's of laquer thinner and stir until it's about the consistancy of skim milk. Shouldn't have anymore problems after that... Good luck.
i got mine from the tackle underground link he will give you alot better deal he sent me a 4oz sample for shipping cost
im using a harbor freight brush to spray the clear on im gonna try to play around with it a little bit more tomorrow i got a little aggrivated with it tonight so i quit thought i would research it a little more

It's laquer based so laquer thinner is the way to go, I spray a light coat and let it dry a few hours then come back for a heavy coat (not heavy enough to run) and then I'm done http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif
