mask, respirators for painting
Hey Guys,
After considering watching the threads for awhile and admiring the work you guys do, I have decided to venture into painting lures. My question right now is what kind of mask, respirator do you guys use to protect your lungs.
Thanks a bunch.

I have a pretty good vacuum system on my paint booth so I ususally only use a simple dusk mask when I need it while painting. When I'm clearcoating though I use a p95 organic vapor respirator. It's a must with some of these automotive clearcoat's. They are very toxic..

I also have a booth that draws most of the fumes out, but I wear a 3m resperator when necessary. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

It's been a while but last time I was in Harbor freight I think I saw them for around 35 bucks.. Check ebay, might be able to find a p95 a little cheaper..

Okay thanks...I'm hoping in a few weeks I can get things I need to get started. I'm not very creative but look forward to learning and get better as time goes on. Fishing is a passion to me and I want it to spill over into painting and possibly making my own baits to catch fish on in the future.

Home Depot also sells them.
