I hate IMs, if you post your questions here, I'll answer and I'm sure others will as well.
im thinking of changing all my rods over to acs reel seats.can this be done and about how much per rod am I looking at http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/USA1.gif
For that to be done right, the guides would have to be stripped because reel seats are put on from the tip of the rod. I've never tried but I guess you could strip the rod from the seat down and ream the ACS seat to fit over the butt of the blank and bushing it with drywall tape. The ACS seat is designed so you don't need bushings.
Stripping rods takes a good bit of time. Not sure how much it would cost. What kind of rods are they?
what kinda rods are they
the best way it to strip the guides and rebuild the rod. It is a lot of labor involed but it not really all that hard if you knwo what you are doing.
the rods I had planned on doing where shimanos and a few kistlers.I will probably try and tackle it my self to help keep the cost down. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif I'll be asking plenty of questions I'm sure http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
