7" Swimbaits made from PVC
These two are handmade from PVC with stainless steel hardware and hinges. The shad swimmer uses a Lexan tail and the bluegill uses a soft plastic tail. Yes the tails are replaceable.

Those are great. I am fairly new to the bait world so excuse my ignorance when I ask about PVC lures. How do you make them?

Thanks guys.
PVC cuts and carves just like wood. Its main advantage is it will not absorb water,no sealer required, so even if a toothy critter penetrates the finish the paint will not peel or crack. One other plus is there is no grain, so drill bits track straight.

Where do you get your pvc you make your lures from? Seems like it would be easier to carve than wood...BTW those look sweet http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

Barry, I have not had any trouble with the swimbaits eating them but I did have a D22 that got a couple of my micro mini cranks. You can cover those little guys with your thumbnail.
