The blank is a 6'6" Batson RX7 ISJ782 blank extended to 6'8"(my new wacky rod)
PacBay blue zirconian guides.
I will due a simple diamond wrap before the fore grip and black wraps with blue bands.
What do you think?

Mostly cosmetics. I like the artistry the Japanese put into their rods so I like to duplicate it. It gives the rod more of a "hilt" look rather than just a reel seat.
I do have a graphite arbor in that spot that I sanded just enough to pressure fit so hopefully it will help to transmit vibration to that area to rest my finger on.

I'd go ahead and spend the extra few dollar and buy the blue fuji checks from bingham for either side of all the grips if you are really going for the JDM look.
I'd post a pic of one I did but don't know how.
