2 ways I've found best for me is.
#1 go to your local hobby shop and a pack of small corks, Shave/cut one to the size ya need (a touch bigger is best) apply wood glue and place in hole. When it is dry, take a razor knife and trim to level with the handle.
#2 take some cork dust and mix with wood glue to make a paste about the consistency of tooth paste. Put this in the hole and let dry. Make sure you wipe any excess. this will make the sanding easier. When it's dry, take a fine grit sand paper and sand smooth and level with the handle.
