I was told by a reliable source that the 2003 Evinrude 225ho actually put out more than the gov allowed 10% and BRP was told to tune them back. Supposedly this only happened on the 2003 model. Has anyone ever seen a dyno test on this motor? Also, what is the rev limiter on this motor? I have hit the limiter with mine and it showed 6600 rpm but its with a non digital tach, not sure how accurate it is.

go to epa.gov, find the emission spreadsheets for that year, look up the engine family, then convert KW-hr to hp.
