rear grip on a Spinning Rod
guys i am building a Spinning/Jig-Worm rod. its a AllStar Titanium Graphite Series (pre- Zebco buy out) 6'6" , MH power and a Fast Tip.....

i wouldn't go over 8". have her try a few rods in the store and see what fits her best and bring a measuring tape. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif

I measure them with a reel in the reelseat. Most of my rods end up with a 9-11" distance from buttcap to reelfoot stem

Attach the guides temporally ( I use skirt collars ) Add the reel seat and then balance the reel to her fit. That will give you the length. I fit all my customers this way, and it has worked out very well.
