Was heading back to ramp today & went to trim down & it woludn't. Will however trim up from engine or helm either one. When trying to trim from helm or engine either one you can hear & feel a relay clicking(the bottom one) which I assume is the trim down relay. How can I check this relay with a volt meter & what to expect ??? Thanks
swap the relays and see if the opposite occurs. If so, one relay is bad but replace both
Happened to me in the spring. Yep swap the relays; then you should have up but not down. Replace both of them, keep the good one as a spare if it were to happen again. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Thanks guys, luckily it was a wire on back of the block that the relays plug into.
