Altering rods .. warranty?
Not right now, but when I can upgrade to Cara T7s I'd like to keep my G-Loomis BCR874 Mossyback...
Since I like all my rods to feel the same, I'd like to split the grip on it, add some sort of balancing deal, remove the fore grip, and make it a Fuji ACS reel seat...
My question is, would this void the warranty?

when I talked to falcon about that same problem they said that the warrenty agaist martiral and workmenship. He aslo to me that most of the time it would void your warrenty but it it broke because of They workmenshipthat they would cover it.

So basically the warranty on the blank would still be good? Just not on components, etc...

David. Generally speaking, unless you do something to cause the rod to break they will warranty it. That being said, if you change the reelseat and it later breaks in that area I would not expect them to warranty it. Also, if you have had the rod for more than a year there is more than likely no defect in the blank, so if it breaks, you probably did something to cause it.

Thanks for the help...that's kinda what I figured
But since this is a Loomis, there is a lifetime warranty, no questions asked...wonder if that's still in effect if it's been tampered with
