Source for jighead supplies
I'm just getting started with pouring my own jigheads. I've got everything that I need but I'm looking for lead. I started to purchase some lead ingots from BPS but saw a review on their website that it was a hard lead (i.e. 90% lead w/ 10% tin) which I'm told is much more difficult to pour than regular soft lead. Can anyone recommend another source?

Talk to a local plumber. Thats how i get mine. Its usually a little dirty, but clean it up and its great lead.

The lead BPS sells is usually softer than other lead I have used. Like Matt said check with some plumbers? I have 5 that fish in my club so they get me all the lead I want.

Not surprisingly, I found some on eBay for just under $1 a pound and ended up getting 30 pounds. I won't have to buy any more lead for a loooong time!!
