Any of the rodbuilders here have any Surf blanks?

I need to build some 9', 10' 11' and 11' 6" one piece Surf rods in the near future and was told by my supplier that the shipping charges for blanks of these lengths is $150 due to the fact that none of the shipping providers(USPS, UPS, FedeX and DHL) will ship these anymore....Therefore they have to ship via ground freight..............

In a perfect world someone locally to me(Rhode Island) would have some of these......

Anyone have any or any ideas on this subject???

hey Russ you wouldnt have any use for these reel seats would you?
i dont really know where i came up with them but i dont have any use for them the look pretty large so i would guess they are for surf rod but im not sure

Those are solid aluminum right? If so they are more for boat rods than anything else.......
