NOT REALLY but if do.. Get some enamel paint or clear and spray it w/several coats. 1 the plaster will turn your plastic a dull color.. but if you paint/clear it .. that wont happen.. but it will work in a pinch.
Didn't open the links to see, but I know some people use fiberglass as a mold...
But for the lizards you are wanting to make, I think the plaster of paris will be good...especially to start off http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
P of P is a lot less in cost but I think fiberglass resin makes a better mold. I use the resin to copy old molds I have that you just can't get any more and to plaster if I am going to copy a worm that I like.
I just finished the first half of a mold using Triton Mike's instructions for using Water Putty. It is VERY easy, a little messy until you figure it out. The stuff is cheap. My only problem right now is eliminating bubbles in the mix. I have a feeling that if I mix it more carefully I could get rid of some of those bubbles. I'll let you know how it turns out.
