Can anyone provide some tips to correctly using scrounger heads. I use them when its windy and have had a few bites, but I think I'm missing out on something... I just learned that the bill can be tuned, so I have a long way to go.

I use a scrounger a good bit during the winter on deeper lakes for suspended fish I have also caught fish during the spring and fall behind guys throwing spinnerbaits and shallow crankbaits remember to match your tails to what you are mimicing and make sure you keep an assortment of sizes and bill lengths
Work good for schooling fish around here...I use the 2 smallest flukes.
We use them a good bit here on the Ohio River, we throw them with a 3 in gulp smelt. Seemed to work better for us in the fall.
Every scrounger I've used which has only been two haven't worked for shat...no vibration when you reel they just come straight to the boat with nothing, like realing a lure with no bill...any tips?

Whoa! Something's wrong. The Scrounger's I've thrown just about vibrate the rod out of my hands.
If there's current to drift in you can throw behind the boat and let it bounce off the bottom...only other times I use one are when you could use a slow rolliin spinner. Throw out and let it sink to the bottom then slowly reel back in over point and humps...just above the bottom....mostly use flukes

I bought some and they did the same thing. I bought em and threw em a couple times, they worked fine right out of the package. I pitched em back in the box and a couple months later a situation called for them and I tried the couple i had and they didn't work anymore. My theory was heat messed them up or something.
never throw a bait with heavy tail action as it kills the head wobble
super flukes the best
year round bait for me ky, barkleyand gville
