The larger diameter (which is still small) does make it easier to handle all around..won't eliminate all problems, but will help with all...

for flipping, and frog I would say 65 or better if you dont have huge viability. if you do and still want to use the heavy braid just use a leader!

Try 50# when froggin, 65 when flippin. But I still think you should shy away from braids more and more, they have there place, but have some major draw backs that people aren't talking about these days. Like ripping hooks out of fish at close range. I don't expect to many people to believe this but I set the hook on a fish at Okeechobee and wound in a jaw. I' have been leaning away from braids lately, and just using it on special app's like froggin and other top waters, and post spawn jerkbaits in the weeds. Hope this helps

make a long cast and peel off more line then put electrical tape around the spool and no more digging. Works great
