Do most of you use a swivel.. or direct uni knot when dropshotting??..and do you use this combo for tubes or any other situations??
Is it a good idea to tie a swivel to the braid and pre rig leaders...or use the swivel on the leaders?

I dont use braid on my spinning reel for DSing but when I join braid and fluoro or fluoro to mono backing on my spinning reels, I do use the uni to uni knot. Some folks do it, just not for me. You could use it for tubes, shakey head, etc, really.
i use this set exlusivly when dropshotting and fishing tubes on the great lakes for smallmouth, I like the uni to uni not for attahing the braid to the flouro. One bad thing about the swivel is that if you get excited in a tournament or just because you have a big fish on you can reel the swivel to the first line guide and sometimes snap your line. I have never ever ever ever had a uni knot break ever. it is a pretty easy knot to tie and with a little practice you will be able to tie one in no time.
I love braid for dropshotting when in deeper water. I use uni to uni and it has been great to me.
I did try using copoly this weekend during a tourney and it just lacks the sensitivity of braid and in deep water it had too much stretch for my med action rod with big fish when setting the hook.
I also use uni to uni but when it's cold it is a bitch to do it on the lake cause my fingers just don't want to cooperate.
