01 powerhead 200 carbed rude question....
Rustyy ,
you looked this one up for me , and was a new powerhead in jan 01. question is the sync and link adjustments have the orange wax or glue that shows it has not moved or been adjusted . would these have needed to be adjusted after the break in period and if they were not could it affect performance????is there anything i can do to check it ( timing light??) or am i making it back to riverside .....

Most times the Sync and Link would not need to be adjusted, but the wide open timing should have been checked.....What problem are you having?

The orange wax is called glyptol (sp) and indicates to the tech that the timing mark has been messed with. CM http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/pimp2.gif

no prob;ems , just noticed the glytol and was wondering if the tech who installed the powerhead applied this and if it needed to be re-adjusted after break in. oh by the way its sucking the bottom out of the gas tank....... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/crying.gif

That stuff is applied at the factory...........if your motor is sucking the bottom out of the fuel tank then it is most likely running right. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
