Do many of you throw traps other times of the year besides spring time?
I throw them from spring until late fall...depending on the lake. The only time I don't have one tied on is dead of winter.
Yep...Post spawn schooling fish and Fall http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Fall time I hammered them.. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif
Mostly sping & fall, but will also use them in weedy lakes all season.
I throw them year-round. I have caught loads of fish on 'em in 90+ degree water, and won tournaments in the winter with 'em in water 37-39 degrees.Pretty much always have one tied on.
year round until the water temp gets below 50 degrees
Fall works good also.

same here
Year round here and if you're not throwing them when the water gets below 50 degrees in grass you are missing out on some great fishing.
If you've never tried vertical jigging a rattle bait in the late fall/winter, you're missing out! I also have good luck casting, then using a pull/drop, pull/drop type retrieve in sub-50 degree water. Look for shallow spots fish will use to warm themselves in colder water: shallow rocks, sea walls, concrete launch ramps, etc.
Good luck!

Keep one on the deck year round, if for nothing else but snagging an over board rod right quick.
I've done much better on 'em in the fall. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif
