best time to throw flat crankbaits

under what conditions do you pull out flat balsa cranks? as opposed to the wobblers

Flat crankbaits are going to work better in cold water/tough conditions as a general rule of thumb. Wobblers when fish are active or in tight cover. Again, this is a rule of thumb, and you have to let the fish tell you what wobble they want. And there are always exceptions, as some flat baits have wide wobbles, and some round baits have tight wobbles, exc.....Then again, I throw flat baits all year long, so like I said, it is just a general rule of thumb alot of people use.

they will hit it year around, but i love to crank deep so i will go deep in summer. However last June hot as.... I killed them on a flatside, so just throw the thing!!!

But the best time and most fun time for these plugs is Spring for me.
