Re: HELP!!!!!! (abu-guru)
Fish have scattered into the newly flooded cover and are going to be hard to locate in concentrations. Start looking for ambush points that will concentrate them, when the water starts dropping is my best tactic.
Re: HELP!!!!!! (20_lb_sack)
Thanks,
I have been told this is not a good bass lake tons of times but did well last year and this spring. Unfortunately I don't think the water is going to drop for a while.
Any suggestions on lure type? I have tried several different things but my confidences is in the dumps......
Re: HELP!!!!!! (abu-guru)
Have you thrown deep running plug yet? They may still be holding to there old patterns but now the pattern is deeper.
Re: HELP!!!!!! (HillbillyRock)
I have tried deep cranks, no luck. I probably need to try to drop shotting or jigs but have never fished that way before.
Re: HELP!!!!!! (abu-guru)
Yes fish might be holding on the old bank which is probably under a ton of water right now. Is the water stable? Still rising or falling? Once the water becomes stable for a few days they should move to the cover. You said minnows and stuff is in the shallow water, thats where you want to be if the bait is there so are the fish. Senkos, spinnerbaits, and flipping would be my choice. A magnet would be if you could find a ditch or the end of a creek where the water is comming in and washing all those minnows, crawfish..etc..etc into the lake, if you can find that you have a goldmine, because the fish will stack into the mouth and hit everything that comes by them...GL
Re: HELP!!!!!! (LaCajuninNC)
Water is stable, tried the in flow wich is only very small trickle with no luck.
Tried cranking the old bank - no luck either.
My only guess is very deep or I need to try TNT
