For the braid go w/ a heaver line, 20 lb test is about 6lb diaimeter, the smaller the diaimeter the easer it will backlash, I use 40 lb. For your spinners try walking or trolling you line. When your on the water take off whatever you have tied on and troll along while letting your line out all the way, then reel it all back on. This will take all the twist out. If you want to do it on land, tie a tie on a hook and swivle, attach it to some thing and walk out all the line, then slowly reel it back on keeping it tight. While your doing it give it a few jerks to keep the swivle turning.
I use floro on all my baitcasters except for my c-rig, its braid, but I dont fish alot of thick vegitation that often, good luck.

Thanks for the info. As for braided on my spinning reels, I have not had much success with that in the past.
