SURGEONS KNOT FOR FLURO LEADER TO POWER PRO
Hello,
I am switching over to Power Pro and use a fluro leader on my spinning gear. I have not had much luck with the uni to uni know. The surgeons knot appears easy. Is it pretty reliable? I plan on using this mainly on C rig, Texas rig, and some jig fishing.
thanks
Larry

Uni to Uni is the way to go.

I use Spro power swivels 80 lb.They are very small and will even go thru the line guides.I had the same problem. The braid is so abrasive on the leader and cuts it but with a swivel and 18in to 2ft of leader don't break off.Plus the swivel will keep your line from twisting on certain baits.

I was putting new line on last night. I used XXP-line 12lb for filler, then 8lb fluorocarbon. I tied the blood knot 8 times and it pulled out every time. Even with the tag ends of 6". I then tied the Albright knot using the heavier line in a loop and the smaller line to wrap. Pulled down good and tight, trimmed ends and did not pull out.
