Got a club tx there on april 18th never fished there. So I was hoping some of you guys could give me some pointers. Lures? Colors? Areas? Whats the water temp around that time there? Possibly be on beds with this mild winter? Any help will do. Also whats a nice priced hotel thats boat friendly and least likely to have it broken into. Lake Anna is always tough for us occasional fisherman, not so tough for the hardcore locals. I will be fishing a couple of tournaments before yours and can key you in on what we find. Get with me the first week of April. Last year, we did pretty descent on shallow square bill cranks down lake as well as red-eye shads. Always work the docks next to deep water at Anna as well . Shouild be some spawners and post spawners out and about .
I've stayed at High Point Marina several times. Nothing fancy, but the rooms are clean and there are plenty of electrical hook ups. Book early, because they don't have many rooms.

For hotels near the lake you only have two options. High Point Marina (about two miles away) or the Lake Anna Lodge (acroos the street). High Point in April is probably $100 per night.
